The Coffee Commune

Founded by Brisbane coffee entrepreneur Phillip Di Bella, The Coffee Commune is a purpose-built facility for coffee and hospitality professionals to do business together, blend and roast coffee, learn from each other and create a sustainable coffee industry.

Building hype and connecting with key audiences

In the lead up to launch, The Coffee Commune engaged The Content Division to produce a content and social media strategy to help drive awareness of its new brand and build a community.

With the pandemic severely impacting the hospitality industry, The Coffee Commune was designed to provide support to Brisbane coffee businesses and help them thrive. The brand’s social media channels needed to be an extension of this and drive action. But with the facility not yet fully operational until March 2021, our initial task was to build an audience that was invested and ready to join.

We created a style guide, curated a series of social media templates and developed a content calendar for execution in the lead up to launch. We also told the incredible stories of local cafe owners through their blog, as well as thought leadership pieces that were distributed via social media, email and earned media.

Within ten weeks of launch, The Coffee Commune exceeded their annual membership targets.

As an ongoing partner, The Content Division supports The Coffee Commune in extending its reach outside the facility and communicating with new and prospective members on a daily basis. We do this through regular blog production, social media management, visual social content and email marketing for the brand. 

This partnership was the perfect blend.
