Brisbane Marketing's award-winning Investment Attraction Team is connecting with the city's innovation-leaders to showcase the city's development to international investors.

Invest Brisbane is an award-winning and world-class inward investment agency, responsible for securing investment that will maximise long-term economic growth for Brisbane. It is a part of Brisbane Marketing – Brisbane City’s Economic Development Board.

The challenge was to differentiate Invest Brisbane’s marketing from competing cities and markets, and to showcase the leading innovation and research happening in Brisbane.

By leveraging an existing database, The Content Division developed a 100 per cent audience-focused publication that highlights the innovation and research happening in different industry sectors in Brisbane.

Designed to make Brisbane Marketing’s Investment Attraction team a leading and authoritative source of information for key decision makers, The Brisbane Report taps into the city’s best business minds for content creation and thought leadership, and amplifies it across email, social media, web and network channels.

With a different investment topic covered each month by a guest editor, The Brisbane Report delivers high quality content to audiences and bolsters the relationship between Brisbane Marketing staff and the city’s investment decision makers.

Brisbane Marketing’s General Manager of Investment Attraction Steven Silvester says The Brisbane Report is a platform to highlight the all the great things that’s happening in Brisbane and the innovation that’s happening in Brisbane, from food and agricultural right through to areas such as tourism, science and technology.

“My team’s role is to help investors particularly foreign investors, connect in here, invest in the city, and also connect in with other companies and corporates within the Brisbane ecosystem,” Steven says.

“We do [The Brisbane Report] because we have a number of clients that we can’t be face-to-face with on a regular basis. So at any one time we we’re connecting in with investors in North America, Canada, Hong Kong, China and even as far away as Europe.”
